As animals, our pets often hide or minimize their degree of illness/injury as a survival mechanisms. Therefore, their condition is likely worse than they are showing. It is always recommended to have your pet evaluated by a veterinarian to ensure that your pet gets the care it needs as soon as possible.

We operate on a triage system, meaning patients are evaluated within minutes of arrival by a Registered Veterinary Technologist and seen based on medical urgency rather than arrival time. While we strive to keep wait times under 2 hours, stable patients may experience longer waits during peak emergency hours.
Your pet is never left alone. Our ICU and wards are fully staffed 24/7/365 by an on-site team of emergency veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technologists who continuously monitor, medicate, and care for hospitalized patients.
At this time, Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency does not have an ambulance service. Please transport your pet to the hospital as soon as safely possible.
Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency operates on a referral-basis only. Please discuss your pet’s condition with your primary care veterinarian. If deemed appropriate, they can complete a referral form and submit it to our hospital.
Yes! Unlike many emergency centers, Pulse routinely treats exotic mammals (rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rodents), birds, and reptiles. We have specialized herbivore/omnivore diets, advanced diagnostic imaging (like CT scans for rabbits), and experience in exotic anesthesia and surgery.
